We know from past experience with other graduates who have done residency in New York, you should be eligible despite having done more than 12 weeks and our school not being listed on the NY list. The reason is because of an alternative process that involves the hospitals that you rotated at in the US  to complete Form 2CC. Each rotation requires an individual form to be filled out by the hospitals, and although this is an extra step for you, many alumni have had this done successfully and achieved their licenses in NY.

Some programs may interpret this as a risk and if they're risk averse, they may tend to disregard the alternative process and only take students who come from schools on the main list. It's unfair to our graduates, but it's their right to exercise this discretion. Hopefully this explains it a little better. In the end, we always recommend inquiring with the NYSED for the most current and up to date information.
